In the opening volume of The Vidoran Crisis, a group of ruthless thugs builds an organization called the Ravens, bent on gaining control of Cendomvita through terror, military might, and political manipulation. Hile, a member of the Eslading Transportation Guild, is compelled to send his sons on missions that uncover the extent of the Ravens’ success in neighboring Vidora. One son feels the moral weight of each of his small betrayals as they settle on his shoulders. Elgyon, a member of the Information Guild, discovers a dying king and the extent of the Raven influence. Phine experiences loss and uncertainty as reality challenges his black-and-white view of the world. Aylman tentatively embraces the consequences of his seemingly small betrayals.

The Final Weeks
Broken Path, Unbroken Will
In the stunning conclusion to The Vidoran Crisis, Hile’s family is reunited, but the Ravens have subverted the Eslading he knows and loves. Respected institutions, beloved friends, and family members betray Hile’s family and Phine’s travel companions. When those betrayals thwart all reasonable plans to protect Eslading, Hile’s family must leave the broken path to blaze their own trail.

Exile years 1 and 2
Forging a Resistance
In the first volume of Eslading’s Exiles, the Vidoran Crisis is over. Eslading has fallen. Hile leads a group of refugees fleeing the Raven tyranny. In a bitter irony, he turns to his knowledge of Mushkinek‘s strongholds to find refuges for his people.
Struggling against the message that he and his followers are traitors, Eslading’s Exiles work to build a resistance by seeking strategic allies and sending embassies to the remaining kingdoms.
The Ravens continue to amass military and political might, threatening their immediate neighbors. The Exiles are unable to establish a permanent home anywhere they go.

Exile Years 2 through 5
The Weight of Final Betrayals
Betrayals mount around the Exiles. The Guilds cannot be trusted. The conflict draws in more players than just the Exiles, the Kingdoms, and the Ravens. Even Thalevir itself seems to be turning against them through small earthquakes and emerging lava flows.
The Ravens fail to deceive just one kingdom: Rusmaria. They have already either subverted or cowed every other kingdom.
