Vidoran Army

The Vidoran Army was the second largest standing force among the Seven Kingdoms, exceeded only by the army of Hireotha. Its structure reflected the geography it defended. Because Vidora spans a long, exposed coastline and wide interior plains, the army favored speed and flexibility over mass. Light cavalry formed its backbone, supported by infantry trained for rapid movement rather than prolonged siege.

Vidoran monarchs reinforced this mobility with infrastructure. Garrisons were distributed along major trade roads, rivers, and coastal approaches in a network of forts and way posts. These positions allowed the army to respond quickly to skirmishes, raids, and border disruptions without the delay of full mobilization. Small forces could be deployed almost anywhere within Vidora in a matter of days.

Rather than concentrating power in a single host, the Vidoran Army emphasized presence. Its strength lay in visibility, readiness, and the ability to arrive before unrest could grow into open conflict.
