He understands the fragile equilibrium between anarchy and governance that must be maintained in this land of people who value their individual freedoms and independence at least as much as they value the stability the Crown quietly enforces.
Publicly, Da’am is apolitical, measured in tone and expression, his voice steady as river current. Privately, he studies the mood of dockworkers, magistrates, and merchants alike, weighing each word before he spends it. He strives to stand behind the right causes when he can do so without endangering his reputation or the Guild, knowing that one misjudged alliance could sink more than ships.
