Ognenstrof

Ognenstrof boasts of sharing borders with more nations than any other. It sits between Elowen to the east and Hireotha to the west, held between two rivers that shape both its borders and its power. The Avenreach River defines the eastern boundary, while the Emerald River marks the west. To the north, Ognenstrof meets YiseaMaghrabi, and Rusmaria where the Central Mountains begin to rise. Though the crown claims the Ashen Peninsula, its volcanic soil resists settlement, leaving much of the region hostile and empty.

With borders on every side and access to multiple waterways, Ognenstrof occupies one of the most strategically connected positions in Cendomvita. Its monarch maintains a strong, highly mobile army, supported by the continent’s only freshwater navy, stationed on Lake Mahyim. Movement, not fortification, defines Ognenstrof’s defense.

Draventh, the capital, stands as the largest and most densely populated city in Cendomvita. The Emerald River cuts through the city before turning south toward the Ashen Gulf. To the east, the Avenreach River sustains a vital trade corridor along the Elowen border. Together, these waterways bind Draventh to inland commerce and open sea alike.

Ancient settlements scattered across the peninsula suggest that Ognenstrof may hold some of the oldest continuous habitation in the continent. Gem mining fuels much of the region’s wealth, a legacy of its volcanic past. Ognenstrof has long drawn fiercely independent people, yet that independence operates within a dense web of inherited tradition. Custom, precedent, and oath govern behavior more firmly than written law, granting individuals wide latitude so long as they honor what came before. In Ognenstrof, freedom does not reject tradition; it derives authority from it.
